Marker Training
A marker is a way to communicate with your dog. The by conditioning a word or sound you are able to capture specific moments in time and tell your dog they did something good that will earn them reinforcement. Check out our video with a full overview of marker training.
Teaching Your Dog How to Target
Targeting behaviors are great for a variety of reasons. They can be used as a way to start teaching tricks/other behaviors, for come-when called, or to get your dog to interact with an object in the environment. Most dogs love target training and it can help raise their confidence over time. In this video we go over the steps to get your dog started with target training.
Teaching the Basics: Sit/Down
Every dog should know how to sit and lay down. These are some great foundation behaviors to teach your puppy or new dog that will eventually be used for other behaviors like stay or place. In this video we will go over the process of teaching your dog these two introductory behaviors.

Teach your dog to respond to their name and offer eye contact. Getting our dogs attention is a foundation behavior we need to teach our dogs before we can work on more complex cues.

Down From Stand (Sphinx Down)
In this video we go over all the steps needed to teach your dog how to go down from a standing position, rather than sitting first and then laying down.
"Look At That" Exercise
In this video we go over how to teach your dog to be calm in response to looking at their triggers. If your dog is struggling, look for ways to increase the distance from their trigger, reduce the intensity of the trigger, or decrease the amount of time your dog looks at the trigger before you get them to disengage.
